Krishna P. Sharma
Founding General Secretary of NEAJA, Mr. Sharma is associated with The Washington Post. He is also a staff writer of Nepal Monitor online journal. For seven years, Mr. Sharma worked as a reporter with The Rising Nepal. A Masters in English Literature and Media Studies, Mr. Sharma also worked briefly as general assignment reporter for Springfield Connection, a community newspaper in Virginia in 2006. Mr. Sharma’s news reports and articles have been published widely in newspapers and web-journals across the world including The Washington Post and Financial Times.
Aang Chhiring Sherpa (General Secretary)
The first South Asian Journalist to Climb Mount Everest, Mr. Sherpa publishes Everest Times from New York. He climbed Mt. Everest on May 22, 2003 under the banner of ''First Nepali Journalist Everest Expedition 2003''. During his expedition he started live news broadcast from Everest base camp and continued until he reached atop Everest. Sherpa has also authored a book named Dateline Chhomulungma. He started professional journalism in 1995 with Nepali Newspaper Kantipur. He is also an ex. Central committee member of Federation of Nepalese Journalist and former Vice President of Tourism Journalist Association of Nepal.
Sharmila Uprety (Secretary)
One of the founding Executive members of NEAJA, Ms. Uprety is a news anchor at Sagarmatha Television. She has been associated with the STV for the last five years. Prior to coming to the USA she was working as news reader at Nepal 1 Television channel which is broadcast from the Indian capital city of New Delhi. Ms. Uprety was the 1st runners-up of the 1997 Mrs. Beautiful Nepal. Ms. Uprety lives with her family in Lorton, Virginia.
Sahadev Poudel (Treasurer)
A theatre and radio artiste from Nepal, Mr. Poudel is the producer of Nepali online radio venture called Himali Swarharu (Voices of the Himalayas) (
http://www.nepaliradio.org) transmitted from New York. The radio focuses on community-based programs along with interviews, poems and stories.
Mr. Poudel started his theatre and radio career in 1996 with different forms of theatre and educational radio programs in Nepal. During his decade-long theatrical journey he has played different character roles in Nepali plays. Mr. Poudel is also affiliated to Broadway Theatre in New York City. He has written and performed several street plays on social and educational themes. Mr. Poudel has completed special training of the Playback Theatre from The School of Playback Theatre at Poughkeepsie, NY. Bishnu Sheetal (Vice president – DC Region)

Bishnu Sheetal is area Vice President for Washington D.C. metro of NEAJA. Starting his journalism career from Kendra Bindu Weekly edition as a regular column writer about 15 years ago, his experience as a writer is on its greatest height. He also completed a 10 month course in Journalism training from Nepal Press Institute (NPI) to increase knowledge in the field. NPI is one of the renowned school for journalism. Most of acting journalists in Nepal are products of NPI.
Later, he became a news editor in Phool Choki Development Magazine. Phool Choki is the sample of rural development magazine. In addition, he served as an Editor in Chief in Ecowave Magazine. Thereafter, he became an employee of National Broadsheet Daily Newspaper as a Senior Asst. Editor for 8 years. His contributions to the paper included not only reporting but also editing and writing a regular column. Furthermore, during his career, many social organizations felicitated him for his effort in the newspaper. Continuing this path of journalism, Mr. Sheetal still writes a column, Immigrants Diary in the newspaper, Biswoparikrama and other news in Everest Times and paper media.

Mr Shekhar Dhungel is well known independent author and lyricist .Mr Dhungel is a associated with nepaltoday.com.np online news .Mr Dhungels article have been published in various online media and news paper in Nepal.Mr Dhungel was guest Editor of INLS ( insight ) for 2006/2008.Mr Dhungel have been published " hundred verses of shekhar ' poem collection and ' where is my Country ?" journey experience book resent past also have release'' आकांक्षा'' र ''सम्झना'' two songs album . Mr Dhungel living in Omaha Nebraska .Mr Dhungel was visit to japan , Australia , Norway, United Kingdom ,France , German , Taipei , Dubai , Hongkong , Thailand , Singapore Rusia and various part of India .
Bitu KC (South Region)
Bitu K C (Baral) is vice-president of NEAJA South Region. An MA in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Ms. KC worked as news reporter for "Punarjagaran Weekly" for five years before coming to the USA. She also worked as Editor of trade union journal published by Nepal Trade Union Congress for 4 yrs. She was also a central executive member of Nepal Press Union.
She has conducted half an hour radio program from HBC FM for one year.
Her news reports and articles have been published in various weekly and daily newspapers in Nepal . She is now contributing news reports , articles and features to some online newspapers published from North America.
Bitu is also affiliated with INLS , Houston Chapter and is also the executive member of Nepalese Association of Houston.
